This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Mystic Sorcerer (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information. Please read it carefully. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Mystic Sorcerer is a single-player learning and focus game for iPhone and iPad. It is provided as-is by the App’s developer. For any privacy question you can contact us at [email protected].
The App is designed to require as little information as possible. We do not:
The player name shown in the App (for example, “Player”) is a nickname you type yourself. You are free to enter any name you like; it never leaves your device.
To let you continue where you left off, the App saves your game state locally on your device using the operating system’s standard local storage. This includes:
This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us and is not linked to your identity. You can erase it at any time (see “Data retention and deletion”).
The App includes an optional feature called the Essence Lens, which uses your device camera to read the dominant colour currently in view and turn it into an in-game “essence.”
iOS will always ask for your explicit permission before the App can use the camera, and you can revoke that permission at any time in Settings → Mystic Sorcerer → Camera.
When the App starts, it contacts our configuration service to retrieve current in-app notices and the latest version number of this Privacy Policy. This request:

The App is suitable for a general audience. It contains no gambling, no real-money purchases, no chat or user-to-user communication, and no advertising. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.
Your game data lives on your device for as long as the App is installed. You are always in control:
Because we do not hold personal data about you on our servers, there is no personal account for us to delete.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Since the App stores your data locally and we do not maintain personal records about you, you can exercise these rights directly by managing or deleting your data on your device. You may also contact us at [email protected] with any request or question, and we will respond.
We take reasonable measures to protect the configuration service and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for network requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because the App does not transmit personal data, the privacy risk to you is minimal.
The App can be used worldwide. Configuration requests may be served from infrastructure located in other countries. As no personal data is sent in these requests, such transfers do not expose personal information about you.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the version number and “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and the App will retrieve the latest version at launch. Significant changes will be reflected in the App’s “About & Privacy” screen. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
